The G.S. Pysarenko Institute for Problems of Strength of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine received a Certificate of Recognition of Measurement Capabilities

Certificate issued by the State Enterprise “All-Ukrainian State Scientific and Production Center for Standardization, Metrology, Certification and Consumer Protection” (SE “UKRMETRTESTSTANDART”)

The certificate confirms that the Center for Mechanical Testing of Materials and Structural Elements has the competence and technical capability to perform measurements in accordance with the requirements of DSTU EN ISO 10012:2022 Measurement management systems. Requirements for measurement processes and measuring equipment (EN ISO 10012:2003, IDT; ISO 10012:2003, IDT).

Measurement capabilities

The Center's recognized capabilities include testing of metal and polymer materials in accordance with national, European, and international standards, in particular:

  • tensile testing at room and elevated temperatures;
  • hardness measurement using the Brinell method;
  • long-term strength testing;
  • impact strength testing;
  • research into fatigue characteristics, crack resistance, and fatigue crack growth rate;
  • testing of polymer and composite materials for tensile strength, compression, shear, and moisture absorption.

A complete list of standards according to which the tests are conducted is provided in the appendix to the certificate.
